The Kaiser Permanente Minimally Invasive Urology/Endourology fellowship is a two year program accredited by the Endourology Society. The approximate time allotment is 60% clinical and 40% research. Training includes all aspects of urologic laparoscopy, robotics and endourology. The fellow's responsibilities include perioperative patient management, performing surgeries, being a clinical instructor for the residents/medical students, data collection, analysis and presentation. The research portion of the fellowship is integrated with our Department of Research and Evaluation in Pasadena, California. The fellow will be involved in a large volume of surgeries (see estimated cases below), s/he will participate in all Department of Urology education and academic activities and will be involved in resident training and research coordination and presentation. The fellow is provided with an office equipped with a computer. S/he will not be taking calls.

Candidates for the fellowship must fulfill the following requirements: Completed an ACGME accredited or foreign urologic training program, valid license to practice medicine in the State of California, and must be fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in the English language.
